The European Commission has recently published a new report bringing together recommendations from the Task Forces established as part of the revision of the Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan).
Susana Batel (CIS-Iscte), participated in Task Force 2 – Research and Innovation for Societal Needs, which focuses on the role of research and innovation in addressing societal needs and challenges.
This contribution highlights the importance of connecting scientific knowledge with societal challenges and of fostering research that helps develop evidence-informed responses to society’s needs.
