Fourteen students are involved in this initiative promoted by the National Association of Psychology Students (ANEP), in collaboration with LAPSO - Iscte's Psychology Laboratory, and CIS-Iscte. The aim of these short internships is to offer a practical and enriching experience in the field of psychology, in order to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom in real research contexts. After a welcome session, which took place on September 3, 2024 with a visit to the LAPSO facilities and Building 4 of Iscte to get to know the laboratory and our research center, the internships will continue until September 20.

Participants in these summer internships will support 4 research projects under the mentorship of CIS researchers Sandra Godinho, Rita Moura, Cristiane Souza and David Guedes. This is an opportunity to work on a range of topics, from pro-environmental behaviors and socio-psychological factors of cognitive health in older people, to multi-sensory interactions between food and music/sounds, to the use of virtual reality for emotional regulation or topographic naming.

This is not the first time that CIS-Iscte and LAPSO have joined the initiative, having already welcomed students in the winter edition, between January and February 2024.
