Joana Baptista, a leading researcher at the Centre for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS-Iscte), has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2025–2026 Building International Collaborations Supports (BICS) award, an initiative hosted by the University College Dublin (UCD) Geary Institute for Public Policy in Ireland.

Launched in 2023, the BICS program supports international research partnerships by providing seed funding for collaborative projects between Geary Institute members and scholars based outside the Republic of Ireland. The initiative is designed to generate meaningful academic outputs such as joint publications, policy briefs, and funding applications, while also enhancing the international profile and impact of research conducted at UCD.
As part of the award, Joana Baptista’s international collaboration will be supported for a visit to the UCD Geary Institute during the 2025–2026 academic year. The fellowship includes access to workspace, institutional resources, and funding for travel and accommodation expenses.
During the collaboration, Joana Baptista will engage in joint research with Geary members, contribute to the UCD Geary Seminar Series, and prepare policy-relevant outputs for dissemination.
