The All4Children project team and partners met on April 29 at Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa for a results feedback session.

Joana Baptista, a researcher at CIS-Iscte and project lead for All4Children-The Integrated Model of Family Foster Care (MIAF®) to promote high-quality child welfare practices in Portugal, funded by FCT-Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (2022.03592.PTDC), provided a project update, presenting preliminary results to the partners.
“For now, the data obtained are quite promising,” says Joana Baptista, noting that the results allow for a deeper understanding of key processes in family foster care, reinforcing, in particular, the importance of supporting children and families, as well as promoting the quality of relationships. The event, which was attended by professionals from various partner institutions as well as the project consultant, Jesús Palacios, also served to announce the final results presentation, which will take place on July 2, 2026, at Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.
The All4Children project aims to evaluate the initial implementation of the Integrated Foster Care Model in Portugal (MIAF®). This model takes a child-centered and family-strengths-based approach informed by trauma, covering the entire foster care process. The MIAF® has been developed by ProChild CoLab and Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, in close collaboration with researchers from Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Universidade do Minho, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and Universidade Lusófona.
