Sónia Bernardes presents in Sweden research on the social dimensions of pain

Researcher Sónia Bernardes was the keynote speaker at the Swedish Pain Society Annual Meeting (Svenskt Smärtforum 2025), held in Jönköping, Sweden, on October 16 and 17.

Her lecture, “On the Pains of Social Standing: How Social Position Shapes Pain Care,” highlighted the research that Sónia Bernardes has been conducting on the psychosocial dimensions of pain. This participation represented an important opportunity for international visibility of CIS-Iscte, reinforcing recognition of the impact of the research carried out by our team.
