Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa was present at Futurália 2026, the country's largest education, training and employability fair, held at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL) in Parque das Nações. The Center for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS-Iscte) stood out by promoting two interactive activities that involved students and demonstrated the practical application of psychology in everyday life.

On March 12 and 13, CIS-Iscte held two dynamic activities to showcase the psychological research carried out at our center. In the activity “Social and environmental psychology to reconnect people and rivers", doctoral student Maria Alba challenged visiting students to complete a quiz to discover how Psychology can be used to promote positive environmental changes by involving local communities. The initiative showcased the project Rios Livres, coordinated at CIS-Iscte by Susana Batel.
Researcher Sofia Frade, also LAPSO-Psychology Lab's scientific manager, represented CIS-Iscte with the activity “Brain to the test: Experimental research in psychology", where she and LAPSO's research interns - Neuza Ribeiro, Vera Falcão, and Sofia Araújo - explained how psychology can be studied experimentally through a go-no-go task.

Once again, CIS-Iscte's participation in Futurália strengthened our commitment to bringing science closer to society, giving young people an overview of what they might find in the world of psychological research.
