CIS-Iscte rated Excellent by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT)

The Center for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS-Iscte) is proud to inform that it obtained the classification of Excellent in the provisional results of the 2023/2024 Evaluation of Research and Development (R&D) Units, published by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Our research center maintained the Excellent rating already achieved in the previous evaluation.

The FCT’s evaluation was based on the scientific and technological activities carried out between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2023, as well as the objectives, strategies, activity plan, and organizational model proposed for the period 2025 to 2029. Among the 12 Psychology R&D Units evaluated, CIS-Iscte was one of the three to achieve the Excellent rating. These results reflect CIS-Iscte’s strategic commitment to excellence in psychological research, affirming its position as a recognized research center.

In total, the FCT evaluated 336 R&D Units across the country, of which only 40% achieved the Excellent rating. At Iscte, seven of its eight Research Units reached this level of excellence.
