CIS-Iscte at the 2022 European Researchers' Night

For the seventh year in a row, the Centre for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS) of Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon will be present at the European Researchers' Night (ERN).


Next Friday, September 30, two researchers from CIS will share a bit of the research conducted in the area of Psychology. Activities will take place at the Museum of Natural History and Science (MUHNAC), Lisbon.


From 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, you can have a talk with the researcher Raquel António about cyberbullying. The activity "What would you do if you watched this while surfing the internet? Cyberbullying and prejudice" aims to increase knowledge about cyberbullying and prejudice, to promote help behavior and the inclusion of ethnic and sexual minorities.


Between 9:30 pm and 11:30 pm, meet the researcher Joana Alexandre at the activity "YARD4ALL – Guides and activities for an inclusive and sustainable education", a mix between hands-on activities for children and talks with parents and teachers. The YARD4ALL project was funded by the Erasmus+ program and developed non-formal educational tools for bringing together children with and without special educational needs, teaching contents of math, science and entrepreneurship for children from 6 to 12 years-old.

ERN is a Marie Curie initiative funded by the European Comission that aims to close the gap between Science and citizens since 2005. The 2022 edition of ERN was organized by the consortium SCIEVER under the theme "Science for Everyone - Sustainability and Inclusion". Among other Portuguese universities, CIS-Iscte is part of this consortium coordinated by the University of Lisbon. Activities also take place in Braga, Coimbra and Évora. In Lisbon, besides MUHNAC, you can find activities at Príncipe Real Garden and at the Botanical Garden.
