A call for applications is now open for the award of 1 (one) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (BIPD), reference of the call BOL/2026/00019, aimed at funding research activities in Psychology at The Centre for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS-Iscte), located at the Iscte Knowledge and Innovation – Center for Value Creation and Technology Transfer (Iscte – CVTT), within the scope of the project "IPMadvance - Ingroup Projection Revisited: Evidence, theoretical advancements and future research on a pervasive intergroup phenomenon" (reference of the project: 2023.18020.ICDT; DOI: https://doi.org/10.54499/2023.18020.ICDT), with financial support through national funds from Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), I.P. / Ministério da Educação, Ciência (the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology - FCT, I.P. / Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation) within the scope of the Call for SR&TD Projects in All Scientific Domains 2023.
The project aims to promote a social psychological understanding of discrimination and tolerance between groups, using the Ingroup Projection Model as a framework (https://history.easp.eu/ideas/ingroup-projectionmodel). The post-doctoral research fellow will join a research team consisting of three experts in intergroup relations and two researchers (one postdoctoral researcher and one PhD candidate). As a member of this research team, the selected candidate will conduct meta-analyses, contribute to the publication and dissemination of research findings, develop and curate a publicly accessible online repository, and carry out other activities aligned with the project's objectives and work plan.

The postdoctoral research fellowship is expected to last 6 months, with an estimated start in August 2026, possibly renewable for the same or different period, up to the maximum duration limit of this type of fellowship (three years) or up to the maximum limit of the approved funding (whichever occurs first), and may not in any case exceed the limits defined in article 7 of the Studentships/Fellowships Regulations of Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), I.P.
