CIS-Iscte organised a series of meetings to share best practices, an initiative launched as part of the consultancy and scientific research support project for TEIP school clusters. Although annual meetings were already held with all the clusters under supervision, this edition stood out for its focus on sharing practices, strategies and projects implemented in different educational contexts, promoting opportunities for collaborative reflection and peer learning.

The series served as a forum for highlighting the experiences developed by schools, strengthening collaboration between clusters and the dissemination of approaches that promote educational success, inclusion, student well-being and the involvement of the educational community.

This academic year, the network of supported school clusters has been expanded to 15 clusters, now also including clusters from the Alentejo region. This expansion represents a further step in consolidating the network, enabling us to broaden the diversity of educational contexts involved and to strengthen the sharing of experiences and solutions tailored to the specific characteristics of each region.

In this first edition, two meetings were held, which took place, also for the first time, in schools within the network, organised in close collaboration with the host school clusters. The first meeting took place on 11 February at the Agrupamento de Escolas Passos Manuel, and the second on 22 April at the Agrupamento de Escolas da Caparica.

The programme for the meetings was developed jointly with the network’s clusters, with each cluster selecting the practices, projects or strategies they wished to share. Based on these proposals, the team of experts organised the programmes to highlight and link the central themes of the TEIP 4 Action Plan. In addition to sharing practices, the meetings provided opportunities for debate and critical reflection on the proposals presented and the challenges associated with their implementation.

Participants in the cycle — including headteachers, TEIP coordinators, TEIP action coordinators, teachers and support staff — rated this initiative very highly, highlighting the importance of the opportunity to learn about, share and reflect on initiatives that seek to address common issues, as well as the potential for creating synergies and collaboration between school clusters.
