Gustavo Aybar Camposano

My PhD experience at CIS‑Iscte was truly enriching. Throughout this journey, I was continuously challenged to grow as a researcher by thinking critically about the literature, exploring new ideas and models, and learning how to communicate my work to diverse audiences. Although the process was long and at times demanding, I always felt supported by my supervisors. Whenever a question or method fell outside their expertise, they immediately connected me with other CIS or university colleagues who were always willing to help.
Beyond my research, CIS offered many opportunities to learn and develop, whether through contributing to lectures, engaging with students and faculty from different backgrounds, or learning from other areas of psychology. Overall, my PhD allowed me to refine essential skills in data analytics, communicating complex information, and project management. These skills undoubtedly helped me succeed in my current role in market research, where I translate insights into actionable recommendations.
