Ana Isabel Correia

The PhD program in Psychology at Iscte was a defining moment in my academic and professional journey. I currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Vienna, and many of the skills I use today were developed during that time.
One of the aspects I valued most was the quality of the supervision. I had the opportunity to work with a team of highly experienced professors and advisors who closely monitored my progress and were always available to offer support, discuss ideas, and help me overcome the challenges that arose.
I would also highlight how the program’s content was organized, allowing me to choose learning activities (seminars, workshops, etc.) aligned with the interests and objectives of my project. In addition, the research incentives offered by CIS were very important for carrying out the planned studies.
Overall, it was a stimulating academic environment that contributed to the development of research skills, critical thinking, and scientific autonomy, which remain central to my work.
