Currently a collaborating researcher at CIS-Iscte, Maria Helena Santos’s research covers gender studies and affirmative action (e.g., gender quotas and the Parity Law), especially in markedly masculine (e.g., politics and medicine) and feminine (e.g., nursing, and basic education) professional contexts.
