SEMINÁRIO: Acolhimento Familiar: Construindo pontes entre Prática, Ciência e Políticas Públicas

On June 15, 2023, the team of the All4Children project (REF. 2022.03492.PTDC), funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, will organize a seminar on Family Foster Care. This kickoff meeting will take place at Iscte (B2.03 Auditorium) and online via Zoom format and aims to present and promote the discussion of Family Foster Care practices, policies, and research findings. Participation is free but subject to previous REGISTRATION (until June 9, extended deadline).

This Seminar will have Dr. Charles H. Zeanah (Tulane University, School of Medicine) as a Keynote speaker on the "Lessons Learned from the Bucharest Early Intervention Project (BEIP)."


Dr. Charles H. Zeanah Jr. is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, a professor of Psychiatry and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and vice-chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology at the Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Zeanah's primary academic interest has been infant mental health and adverse early experiences. He researches the effects of abuse, neglect, severe deprivation and exposure to violence on young children and on interventions designed to help them recover. He has also studied approaches to understanding and classifying disorders of early childhood, especially disorders of attachment and post-traumatic stress disorder.
