The project SUSTAINMEALS adopts an integrated approach to promote a large-scale, nationwide shift towards healthier and more sustainable plant-based meals, focusing both on individual consumer-level variables and shared context-based variables. It builds on the disciplinary backgrounds and previous findings of the research team that has been working on complementary approaches to the study of meat consumption/substitution and plant-based diets, behavioral change interventions in health-related topics and eating habits, and research on food policy and consumption practices with a focus on sustainability and dietary shifts.

This project investigates the influence of patient social status on pain assessment/management practices (PAMP) which rests on the ability of health-care practitioners to empathize with the experience of the pain patient. Two theoretical models are proposed and tested: social status effect and its psychosocial accounts (Model 1), and social status buffer effect models (Model 2).

TailorPhy project aims to develop, apply and evaluate a system of information whose configuration can be tailored to measure the patient’s balance and functional movements during their physiotherapy sessions. The tailored information system enables to non-invasively/unobtrusively measure balance and movements as well as to improve the effectiveness of physiotherapy based on serious game and augmented reality.
European Master in the Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion and Diversity in Society (Global-MINDS)

Global-MINDS is the European Master in the Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion and Diversity in Society funded by the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree funding programme (Erasmus+ – Key Action 1). It is a comprehensive 2- year study programme with 120 ECTS focusing on insights into contemporary social and societal issues from Social and Cultural Psychology. Universities from five countries jointly deliver the Global-MINDS programme in English.

É um projeto de quatro anos que irá estudar experiências europeias que promovem a saúde das comunidades e que, ao mesmo tempo, são ambientalmente sustentáveis. O movimento Re-Food, lançado na região de Lisboa, e as hortas sociais que florescem por Portugal inteiro são alguns dos casos considerados mais interessantes para serem estudados e reproduzidos noutros países. It is a four-year project that will study European experiences that promote the health of communities and at the same time are environmentally sustainable. The Re-Food movement, launched in the Lisbon area, and social gardens that bloom throughout Portugal are some of the most interesting cases considered to be studied and replicated in other countries.
