Ana Lúcia Aguiar has a Master degree in Social and Organizational Psychology from ISCTE-IUL. She is currently a PhD student working on a project investigating if and how group composition, in the preschool context influences the quality of teacher-child interactions. More specifically, the project goal is to understand if the presence of children from minority and more vulnerable groups influences teachers’ classroom practices and the relationships they establish with children. The professional development needs of teachers for managing more diverse groups will also be explored.
