Rita Guerra obtained her PhD in Social Psychology at ISCTE IUL in 2007. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Psychology, University of Delaware for two years, and later in 2010 joined CIS IUL. She is interested in intergroup relations among ethnic majority and minority groups and contact-based interventions to reduce prejudice. She has 3 major ongoing research lines: a) examining how different conceptualizations of national identity affect groups’ beliefs about their contribution to superordinate, more inclusive identities; b) investigating how relative status and identity indispensability relate to collective narcissism; c) examining acculturation attitudes, prejudice and well-being in majority and minority groups.
